ATHEROSCLEROSIS
(HARDENING OF THE ARTERIES)

Atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) occurs as we grow older and leads to damaging effects in the heart, brain, kidneys, gastrointestinal system, testes and ovaries. The walls of the arteries (the endothelium) cause abnormal narrowing which leads to clotting and obstruction of the blood vessels.

This pathological change was accepted in the past as part of the aging process and that there was nothing to prevent or treat it. Vascular aging leads to stroke and heart attacks. When fats (lipids) build up in the damaged walls of arteries and become oxidized. This causes further damage and eventually causes atherosclerotic plaque with the combination of foam cells, calcification and lipid accumulation.

The factors that lead to atherosclerosis include hyperinsulism, high blood glucose, elevated triglycerides,, low Vitamin k, low nitric oxide, low HDL, elevated LDL, low free testosterone, elevated fibrinogen, elevated homocysteine, elevated C reactive protein, hypercholesterolemia, low EPA and DHA (oxidized omega 3 fatty acids) and oxidized LDL.

How to avoid or treat damaged endothelium is now possible with the following combinations plus stem cell intravenous infusion:

  • Propionyl-L-Carnitine(PLC) helps to maintain healthy endothelium and thus reduce or prevent atherosclerosis. Dose: 2 grams daily
  • Acetyl-L-Carnitine: when used with PLC enhances endothelial health; improves symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome; improves erectile penile function
  • Adenosine triphosphate(ATP) is the primary source triggering energy in cells. After forty five years of research it is available to be administered in an oral form and can be used to expand ATP blood vessel function in the liver, kidney, heart, lungs, The name of the oral product is PEAK ATP with GlycoCarn(contains 1000 mg.PLC and PEAK ATP 200 mg) and improves cardiopulmonary and cerebral blood flow.
  • Pomegranate reverses arterial wall thickness as well as melon extract(GliSODin) that appears to reverse narrowing of the carotid artery. They both are anti-oxidents; reduce free radicals and increase nitric oxide levels that improve endothelial lining function thus preventing plaque formation.
  • Chelation using EDTA oral and intravenous that has been around as a treatment for many years is under more strict clinical investigation evaluation but early reports seem to indicate that it may be a important form of therapy to reduce atherosclerosis.
  • Stem Cell Therapy: StemCellRegenMed recommends the intravenous infusion of CD34+ CD133+ progenitor cells; cardiomyocytes derived from umbilical cord cells and vascular endothelial growth factor. Additional infusions will be considered depending on the cardiovascular health of the patient.
  • Vitamin E 400-800 I.U.daily
Niacin 50-100 mg. daily ( take at bedtime)
    Garlic; Fish oil; Lycopene
